Installation of a new on-site sodium hypochlorite generation (OSG) system to replace the existing gaseous chlorine system for disinfection, installation of a new chlorine dioxide generation system to replace the existing system, and upgrades to the plant electrical power systems (including main switchgear and standby engine generators, and motor control centers for new equipment) for the Escondido-Vista Water Treatment Plant in the City of Escondido, California.
The Dry-Year Yield Wells Water Treatment Plant project was completed in March 2010, with a total value of construction of $7,885,110. This project includes the construction of 2 well sites, block building, pipeline work, paving, sodium hypochloride generation system, ion generation system, ion exchange system, electrical works and painting.
